Grace Anderson | The Sunday Mail Daily Record

Our beautiful Elite Model Look 2012 runner up Grace Anderson has been interviewed for the Sunday Mail by Emma Smith.

Here's a snippet of the interview right here, for the full article click here: Dailyrecord

WHEN a top modelling scout told Grace Anderson she looked like Kate Moss, the schoolgirl brushed it off.
Now, despite appearing in British Vogue and with a growing international reputation, the stunning teenager appears nonplussed by her modelling career.
Grace, 17, from North Berwick, East Lothian, was runner-up in the international modelling contest Elite Model Look last year after being spotted in Braehead Shopping Centre, near Glasgow, with her mum Lindsay and little sister Izzy.
Grace said: “I am the nerdiest person ever. I have no idea about fashion. They have mentioned that I look like Kate Moss and other models but I have no idea as I don’t know about the fashion world.
“I was just having a fun day out with my family when a scout from Elite Model Management asked me if I had ever considered modelling.
“They took Polaroids of me in the shopping centre and then we just continued with our day. I never thought much more of it.”
Grace has the same flawless porcelain skin, striking feline eyes and glossy brown hair that made Moss one of the
biggest supermodels in the world. But, at 5ft 10in, Grace is 4in taller.

Elite were so impressed by her unique look and natural beauty that they asked her to go to London for the semi-finals of their contest.
she said: “I couldn’t believe it. When I got to London, we had to walk on the catwalk. It was bizarre for me as I had never worn heels. I am so bad at walking in them.
Grace wowed the judges and was invited back to compete in the final. She and 11 other girls had to do a boot camp in London before an overall winner was chosen.
The budding model had to dress up and take part in a catwalk along the Millennium Bridge and outside Buckingham Palace as part of the competition.
Grace said: “It was so embarrassing as I’m a shy person. People were watching us and tourists were taking pictures – it was surreal. I was also terrified I would slip and fall in my killer heels.”
The teenager returned home after the competition when fellow Scot Gillian Matthew was crowned the winner.
She was called again by the agency and asked if she could appear in London Fashion Week, where she modelled for Unconditional, Meadham Kirchhoff and J W Anderson among others.
Grace’s striking look was spotted by a team from British Vogue who could see her potential and were keen to get her in their studio for her first magazine shoot.
She said: “They normally pick a couple of girls at Fashion Week. I was shocked when I was told they wanted me.
“When I walked in to the photoshoot, I was so nervous. I was the youngest as I was only 16 at the time. All the other models were in their 20s and more experienced.
“I didn’t really tell anyone I was going to appear in British Vogue as I was shy about it. I only told my four closest friends and they were all excited. But then more people in school found out as they probably saw me in the magazine.
“My little sister Izzy is the most impressed. When she first saw me in Vogue, she was like, ‘Oh my god, I need to show my friends.’ She wants to be a model now but she is only 13 so she has another year before she can take part in the competition.”
