With the two words 'fashion-week' permanently embeded on everyone's lips for the entire duration of this month, we have all been bracing ourselves for the mother of all fashion weeks - Paris Fashion Week. For models, PFW is the pinnacle of all fashion weeks as it marks the end of the season, usually resulting in a well deserved rest! As this is the time when everyone has quite literally gone fashion 'weak' - Elite London prides itself in all our amazing girls who are still going stronger than ever! Perhaps wise dietary tips from model & naturopathic physician Sybille Gebhardt had something to do with our girls' ever-lasting stamina, as she kindly put together a 'Fashion Week Survival' programe especially designed for models over such hectic fashion week period - that our models (& bookers) greatly benefited from!
Seeing that the end results proved way beyond our expectations, we thought we'd share this little gold mine of fashion week survival strategy with you guys too!
So if you feel like your body could benefit from a bit of deep post-fashion week cleansing, below we have a handful of super-healthy recipes for a balanced & nutritious diet that can be applied to not just during the fashion week mania, but also to an everyday routine as we discovered!

Pro-biotic Breakfast
70 % of your body’s immune system lies in your digestive tract.
This is an inner ecosystem with billions of protective bacteria in your mouth, oesophagus and small intestine and trillions in your large intestine. They help you digest, some synthesize vitamins (B, A, and K), produce natural antibiotics and anti-fungal, and guard against potential harmful effects of toxic metals, radiation, and pesticides and herbicides residues.
Antibiotics, high-fat diets, sugar, processed foods, fried foods, alcohol, anti-inflammatory medication, canned fizzy drinks, stress, smoking and recreational drugs can all disrupt the balance of these essential bacteria … leading to indigestion, bloating and gas.
…avoid these things and boost your immunity by regularly consuming a pro-biotic breakfast…
Pro-biotic yoghurt and pre-biotics such as high fiber fruits
Mix Greek style yogurt (unsweetened) with fresh berries (e.g.
blueberries, raspberries) or dates, a banana, sunflower seeds and a little maple syrup.
Smoothie (can sustain you for the whole morning)
300ml (1/2 pint) Nut milk (e.g. almond or hazelnut) - preferable to diary due to cows milks' association with breast and prostate cancer
1 tablespoon of either Solgar protein powder: perfect protein for repair function – hair, skin, nails, connective tissue, bones, muscles, immune system
Or
1 tablespoon of Kiki living superfood (also contains sea vegetables): highest source of calcium, iron, potassium, perfect protein
1 banana
A handful of blueberries (organic, frozen)
Juice of 1/2 lime
A little maple syrup.
Toast with miso & avocado
Toast two slices of soya or rye bread and garnish with some live organic
miso, humus, avocado, fresh coriander, and cayenne pepper.
Use:

· Avocado, which has beta-carotene for eyesight – our eyes are sensitive and come under a lot of stress due to work at computer and flash photography, avocados are also very alkalizing (animal products, caffeine, alcohol, sugar, and nicotine all have an acidifying effect on body; some disease take root when the body becomes too acidic (e.g. bladder infection))
